The accused is in his thirties, and was working as a specialist in the Youth Welfare Department at the Faculty of Archeology, Cairo University. He met the victim, Nourhan Hussein Mahran, also in his thirties, during their work together in the same administration.
The accused proposed marriage to the victim several times, and the victim refused marriage. He threatened her before and burned her car. A report was filed against him and he was imprisoned. He was transferred to the Youth Administration at the College of Agriculture and then to another college within the university.
The source confirmed that despite what happened, the accused did not forget the victim, and continued to chase her. Two days ago, he went to her workplace and stood in front of the door of the department where her office was located, and kept looking at her from afar, which spread terror in the victim’s heart, and she told those around her that she feared for her life from him. And she is thinking about requesting a transfer to any other university so that she does not know her way.
The accused relied on the knowledge of the employees of the Youth Welfare Department at the College of Archeology to go there without anyone stopping him, and he attended often without causing problems.
