The former Omani diplomat, Dr. Hood bin Saif Al-Alawi, was killed at the age of 50. On Monday morning, a body with several stab wounds was found inside his apartment in the Mohandiseen neighborhood in Cairo.
The forensic report was issued within several hours at the request of the Egyptian Public Prosecution to explain the causes of death, while the embassy followed up with the competent Egyptian authorities on the details of the incident, and the embassy expressed its confidence in the competence of the Egyptian authorities in uncovering the circumstances of the case in order to achieve the desired justice.
As the Egyptian Ministry of Interior explained in a statement on its Facebook page, that as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior’s agencies to uncover the circumstances of what was reported on September 18th to the Agouza Police Department in the Giza Security Directorate, and upon moving and examining, the body of the absent person was found in one of the rooms of the apartment, with traces of stab wounds. Scattered throughout the body and there was chaos in his apartment, and through this, a research team was formed with the participation of the public security sector, and its efforts resulted in identifying the perpetrators of the incident: a cleaning lady, a driver - two residents of Shebin Al-Qanater.
