An interview with the brilliant writer Mona Muhammad

As we are accustomed to, dear readers, “Mawj Newspaper” features personalities who excelled in their field, and today our character’s name is associated with success and achievements. We will get to know them.

We begin the dialogue, and we wish you a fruitful reading.

 《Name》:- Mona Muhammad

 《Age》:- 24

 《Governorate》:- Sohag

 《Your nickname》: Minwoo

Q: When and how did you start in the field of writing? 》.

I started writing continuously more than five years ago, but before that I wrote occasionally.

《Q/ Who provided you with support at the beginning of your journey? 》.

I provided myself with support and many of my friends always gave me constant encouragement.

Q: We all face difficulties and criticism at the beginning of our work. What difficulties and criticism did you face? 》.

One of the most severe difficulties that I faced was my inability to participate in seminars and exhibitions due to family restrictions, but I do not think that since the beginning of the spread of my writings, I have faced any criticism from those who love my words.

《Q/Who is your role model? 》.

The great writer Muhammad Tariq, then myself is the example most deserving of appreciation. I compare myself to myself every now and then and I see how much tremendous development I have achieved and he takes me as a role model every time.

《Q/ What do you think of the saying that a distinguished writer is a good reader? 》.

I very much agree with her. Reading greatly helps develop the writer’s mind and gives him the experience that helps him write more

《Q/ How do you feel when writing? 》.

I feel very happy as if I were turning into a butterfly in the middle of a wide field of flowers.

《Q/ Have you thought about practicing another talent besides writing? 》.

Yes, I like to draw from time to time

Q: What feelings does writing give you? 》.

Writing can give me a feeling similar to a mother hugging her child

《Q/ What would be your response if a novice writer asked you for help? 》

Of course I will give him everything I can without hesitation.

《Q/ What are the characteristics of an ideal writer, in your view? 》.

The regular, struggling writer is the one who works to develop himself significantly and continuously, the writer who is able to convey feelings to people with the fewest words.

Q: Do you have other talents? 》.

Each of us has many talents, of course. I love drawing and reading, in addition to writing, which is considered the main talent that forms most of my time.

《Q/ Have you achieved achievements in this field? 》.

Yes, I have achieved many accomplishments. I participated in the Cairo International Book Fair in 2010 in two books of thoughts for a group of authors, namely “Scattered Ink, Correspondents from LAS Vegas,” and many e-books such as “Commodities, Night Thoughts, and Gum” and others, and a separate book of thoughts for me, “Something from the heart".

《Q/ Have you taken the electronic publishing step? 》.

Yes, I shared many books, and I mentioned them before. I began a while ago to open a page specifically for my writings on the social networking platform “Facebook.”

Q: Can you tell us about your future plans? 》.

I hope that God will help me to complete my first novel as soon as possible, and I hope that everyone will like it

Q: Are you thinking about separating from the field of writing one day? 》.

I don't think so, writing is like oxygen to me.

《Q/ Do you want to address a word to those who decided to isolate themselves due to frustration and criticism, and what is your advice to overcome this matter? 》.

In life, it is natural for us to be subjected to a lot of criticism in all fields, but we must accept it correctly and work to overcome it through self-development and better mastery. Not every criticism is due to failure, and I consider that criticism is the beginning of success and excellence.

《Q/ Can we see some of your creations? 》.

Perhaps life has not given us the full opportunity, and we can say that it takes more than it gives, but we are a generation born from the womb of suffering, springing from the heart of despair, a generation that is not accustomed to surrendering to failure. We will create opportunities with our own hands and change our reality. We will bind our wounds and raise up our ruins. We will follow paths. Renew other than the paths that were closed in our faces, and if they were all closed, we would make a path between the mountains for our dreams, for defeat was not ours and we would never have it.

 Mona Mohammed
