As we are accustomed to, dear readers, “Mawj Newspa
per” features personalities who excelled in their field, and today our character’s name is associated with success and achievements. We will get to know them.
We begin the dialogue, and we wish you a fruitful reading.
《Name:- Maryam Ahmed
《Age》:- 19
《Governorate》:- Gharbia (Tanta)
《Your surname》: Abu Al-Yazid
Q: When and how did you start in the field of drawing? 》.
I have a talent and a nice hobby that I discovered when I was 8 years old. My first drawing was of cartoon people that I loved.
《Q/ Who provided you with support at the beginning of your journey? 》.
My family encouraged me to continue drawing and they were impressed by my drawings because they were really very cute
Q: We all face difficulties and criticism at the beginning of our work. What difficulties and criticism did you face in your artistic career? 》.
The first thing I encountered were the errors that would appear in the paintings after I finished them, but with focus I was able to overcome this and my paintings became very distinctive.
Secondly, when someone who has no relation to painting criticizes my paintings, this makes me very upset.
《Q/Who is your role model? 》.
In the field of painting in general, I did not have an ideal because every painter likes to add his own character to his paintings, but I can say that I love the paintings of the artist (Van Gogh).
《Q/ How do you feel when drawing? 》.
I feel comfortable when I start drawing, because simply drawing can bring out everything inside me, or rather, I can express my happiness or sadness with colors and drawing, and I can also add my touches to the paintings and convey messages with them, and as Edward Hopper said, if You can say it in words, there will be no reason to draw it.
《Q/ Have you thought about practicing another talent besides drawing? 》.
Yes, of course I thought about that
《Q/ What would be your response if a novice painter asked you for help? 》.
It actually happened and I helped him to the fullest, and also recommended the best types of colors and brushes that were of high quality.
《Q/ What are the characteristics of an ideal painter, in your view? 》.
From my point of view, there is no such thing as an ideal painter, because drawing relates to the things that exist in the folds of the soul and the innovation that a person creates, and as I said, every person has his own special and distinctive character in expressing himself.
Q: Do you have other talents? 》.
Yes, I have many other talents, such as:
Writing thoughts
Voiceover
Dubbing
Landscape photography
the acting
《Q/ Can you tell us about your future plans?》.
In the future, I would like to make a positive impact on people, and I would also like to be a large-scale artist in addition to my studies in the field of media as well.
《Q/ Are you thinking about separating from the field of drawing one day? 》.
Complete isolation is a very difficult idea. If I isolate myself from drawing, how can I express myself?
No, I did not think about that at all. Rather, I would like to pass on the talent in the future.
《Q/ Do you want to address a word to those who decided to isolate themselves due to frustration and criticism, and what is your advice to overcome this matter? 》.
Why did you isolate yourself from the thing that takes you out of boredom, as Van Gogh said: All things become cold and dull. I would rot from boredom if it were not for my brush and these colors with which I could draw things again. I would like to say to those who isolate themselves because of criticism and frustration, do not care about people’s opinions. The most important thing around you is to be yourself and do what you love.
Q: At the end of this dialogue, do you want to address the newspaper? 》.
